About The Victor Project
Our mission
The mission of The Victor Project is to relieve the hardship of families in the Fairfield and Bridgeport, Connecticut areas and surrounding communities who are experiencing financial hardship by providing assistance with the care of their companion animals, including financial assistance for veterinary and other medical care.
How we work
The Victor Project is run entirely by volunteers. No director or officer receives any compensation.
When a grant is approved, we pay the veterinary practice directly, never the applicant, so that treatable animals are not surrendered or euthanized because a family is short on money.

Our application for recognition of exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code is pending with the Internal Revenue Service. Until the IRS issues a determination letter, we cannot confirm that contributions are tax-deductible. If exemption is granted, we expect it to be effective retroactive to April 1, 2026.
The Victor Project is registered with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection for charitable solicitation.
